Visual Inspection Criteria for HM 224B Super Box
Visually inspect interior and exterior of container verifying condition. Be sure to address all of the following criteria for container readiness.

Exterior:
- Any missing rivets should be replaced as soon as possible.
- No punctures in the exterior of container.
- No dent should be more than 3 / 4 inch deep.
- Each latch must exert "pull-down" pressure when closing the container.
- Seal Test: Place a business card sized piece of paper between the seal of the lid and base in the front and both sides of container. Once latches are fully engaged the paper should have resistance when pulled upon.
Interior:
- Gaskets must remain in place on the interior lip of the Lid & Base of container.
- Gaskets may not have any gaps, depressions or tears that exceed 1" x ½" in size.
- All cushions in the interior should remain functional.
- Thermal Insulation materials must not be removed or damaged.
* All Americase Super Boxes are manufactured and supplied in accordance with the design and qualification articles that have been tested and conform to the requirements of HM224B.
Closing Procedures
* Please reference the visual inspection criteria before placing bottle in container. *
- Open container by twisting latches to open position.
- Lift lid completely, until lid stays engage.
- Make sure interior is free of any obstructions that would prevent cylinder from lying flat.
- Place bottle in container in the horizontal position.
- Once cylinder is in place make sure the bottle is securely encapsulated in cavity provided.
- If container is equipped with a cradle, place it over the valve for its protection.
- Inspect that the bottle and cradle are interlocked and not protruding above the base of the container.
- Ensure that when the lid is closed, and that no straps or other debris will prevent the lid and base’s thermal gasket from making 100% contact.
- Close the lid to the container and twist latches until they are completely engaged.
